• Jesus is the Savior and Lord of our lives. Jesus is clear when he proclaims, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) No human effort can bring us to God. Paul writes, “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9) All we can do is trust what God has done for us.
• The Bible is our only authority for all matters of faith, teaching, and conduct. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and our source of direction in life. Paul affirms that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Tim. 3:16)
